SUWANEE, GA - Katie Wilson, a senior defender from Liberty Hill, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 29th through Sunday, October 5th.
Wilson was outstanding over the weekend leading the War Hawks to a pair of SCAC wins, highlighted by a 4-0 shutout over Austin College on Friday. Wilson and the War Hawk defensive was stingy in limiting opponents in the offensive third allowing just one goal, four shots on goal and four corner kicks in 180 minutes of action. The shutout over Austin College is the second in the last three games for McMurry.
