McMurry University Vice-President for Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics
Sam Ferguson and head softball coach
David McNally has announced the hiring of
Cayleigh England as an assistant coach.
"We are grateful to have an individual like Cayleigh back on campus to help War Hawks softball continue to grow in success on and off the field," McNally noted. "She was a wonderful example of what a McMurry University scholar-athlete should be during her collegiate career. I'm sure she will continue to share those trademarks as an assistant."
England played three years in the program, sporting a career batting average well above .300. She crushed a pair of home runs as a senior, which helped her end her playing days with 25-or-more RBI.
England, who was part of 61 victories during her time sporting the Maroon, Black, and White, had previously been a summer league coach for the last five years.
