Austin, TX – The War Hawks faced Texas Lutheran in the winner's bracket after a victory over Concordia in the opening round.

McMurry scored first in the top of the 1st inning when Sabrina Graf singled to left field, driving in Elaina Herrera. McMurry added another run in the top of the 2nd inning when Samantha Gonzales singled, scoring Kami Owen.  

Texas Lutheran responded in the bottom of the 2nd inning bringing across three runs, giving Texas Lutheran a 3-2 lead.  

The game was suspended in the bottom of the 3rd inning due to heavy rain and was postponed until Saturday morning.

When the game resumed, Texas Lutheran extended their lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a solo homerun pushing their lead to 4-2.

Both teams offenses would stay quiet the remainder of the game.

With the loss McMurry enters the elimination bracket to face Centenary College at 1:30 p.m.
