ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University Men's and Women's Swimming returns to the Phillips Family Center Friday, when the War Hawks host the University of Texas of the Permian Basin at noon in a dual meet.
This will be the second and final home meet of the year for the War Hawks, who will swim the rest of their season on the road.
Last weekend, McMurry competed at the Hendrix College Relays and Classic, with numerous men's swimmers placing in the top-10. Senior Jerick Pena placed fourth in both the 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard backstroke.
Freshmen Ethan Sykes and Alec Satre along with junior Dany Baki all had two top-10 finishes of their own last weekend, as well.
Senior Monica Flores paced the McM women with a 10th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley and placed 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke, with freshman Mackenzie Reiner just behind in 12th.
This is the first of two meetings with the NCAA II Falcons, as the War Hawks will pay a return visit to UTPB January 12.
