ABILENE, TX - The McMurry University women's track and field team completed a wire-to-wire masterclass, capturing the 2026 SCAC Women's Track and Field Championship on their home turf at Wilford Moore Stadium. Holding the lead from day one of the championships, the War Hawks dominated the final day of competition to finish with a meet-high 191 points, comfortably finishing ahead of runner-up Colorado College's 165 points.

The defining moment of the meet belonged to
Brenna Stell, who set a new SCAC record in the pole vault by clearing an incredible 4.11 meters. With this historic performance, Stell now ranks as the number one women's pole vaulter in all of Division III.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- The War Hawks secured a massive 1-2 finish in the 100-meter hurdles to rack up crucial team points. Annikah Frank took home the gold with a blazing time of 14.62, closely followed by teammate Emily Jackson who earned silver in 14.69.
- McMurry's dominance in the hurdles continued in the 400-meter event, as Madelyn Gollihar secured top honors with a winning time of 1:05.84. Lily Cunningham added to the medal haul, finishing third in 1:07.13.
- In the pole vault, Madeline Sumien backed up Stell's record-breaking day by earning the silver medal with a clearance of 3.46 meters.
- Action in the throwing events saw Tori Colman claim a silver medal in the discus with a strong toss of 44.17 meters.
- Distance runner Savanna Danner added points in the 5000-meter run, finishing fourth overall with a time of 18:40.48.
- The War Hawks also found success on the track in the relays, as the 4x400 meter relay team of Cunningham, Frank, Hailee Garmer, and Gollihar earned a bronze medal with a time of 4:03.75.
