SAN ANTONIO, TX - The McMurry Women's Swimming team completed the second day of the highly competitive Trinity University Tiger Invitational on Saturday, continuing to make finals appearances and score valuable points against some of the region's top programs. By the end of the day, the War Hawks had accumulated 29 points in the Women's Team Rankings.
Individual Finals Appearances
Sophomore Brooklynn Lizcano was the leading point scorer, making finals appearances in two separate events:
- 100 Yard Backstroke: Lizcano qualified for the 'B' Final and raced to an impressive 11th-place finish with a time of 1:04.60.
- 100 Yard Breaststroke: Lizcano once again secured a spot in the 'B' Final, finishing 10th overall with a time of 1:15.48, highlighting her consistent strength in the medley events.

War Hawks swimmers posted competitive times in the individual preliminary heats across the board:
Relay Performance
The War Hawks were focused on execution in the team relays, though they faced a tough start in the 200 Yard Medley Relay due to an early take-off.
- 200 Yard Medley Relay: The 'A' team of Emilee Thompson, Brooklynn Lizcano, Nicole Ryman, and Natalie Liles was disqualified due to an early take-off, a technical challenge the team will aim to refine as the season progresses.
Overall, the second day of the Invitational provided the War Hawks women with high-level competition and valuable experience, particularly in making finals cuts and sharpening their individual race strategies.
