CANYON, Texas – Fighting the elements, McMurry Track & Field competed at the WT Last Chance Meet hosted by West Texas A&M University on Sunday in Canyon, Texas.
While most of the events were completed, a handful of events were canceled due to heavy precipitation in the area.
Prior to the hail storm, McMurry had 16 athletes compete in various events. The War Hawks left with four personal records – two from the men and two from the women. The only events to get canceled were the men's pole vault, the hammer throw and the long jump.
