ABILENE, Texas - McMurry Men's Soccer earned a 2-0 shutout victory over Lyon College in its home opener Friday night at Wilford Moore Stadium.

Following a scoreless opening half, McMurry broke through in the second half when Justyn Judie found the back of the net to give the War Hawks a 1-0 lead.

Audrick Moreno put the match on ice, burying a late strike to double the advantage and seal the victory.

Lyon out-shot McMurry 8-6, but the War Hawks' defense and goalkeeping tandem stood tall to keep the clean sheet intact. Enrique Cabello started in goal and collected one save in the first half, while Jonathan Sanchez stepped in for the final 45 minutes and turned away three shots to preserve the shutout.

The War Hawks return to action Sunday, September 6th at home against Wayland Baptist at 3:00 p.m.
