ABILENE, TX - Fresh off a historic Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championship—the first in program history—the McMurry University War Hawks are officially returning to their roots. The university has released its highly anticipated 2026 women's soccer schedule, marking the program's exciting return to the American Southwest Conference (ASC).

"We are looking forward to the new season," said head coach Madelyn Wilson. "We can't wait to build off of the success that we had this past year, we return a great group of girls that are motivated to continue raising the standard of excellence in the program. We're excited for the incoming class and the depth that they will add to our team as we face a tough conference schedule."

A Demanding September Start
The War Hawks will kick off the season with a pair of road matchups, traveling to Odessa to face Texas Permian Basin on August 22, followed by a September 4 tilt against Austin College in Sherman.

McMurry's home opener at Wilford Moore Stadium falls on September 8 against Texas Lutheran University. The War Hawks will then host Centenary College on September 13 before a pair of neutral-site challenges at the HSU Soccer Complex against Southwestern University and Trinity University on September 16 and September 18.

October Brings the ASC Return
McMurry will officially begin its highly anticipated ASC return on September 26 by hosting crosstown rival Hardin-Simmons University. This early clash sets the tone for a competitive conference slate.

October brings a heavy dose of ASC action. The War Hawks will defend Wilford Moore Stadium with back-to-back home matches against Howard Payne University on October 1 and Schreiner University on October 3. Following a road trip to face the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and East Texas Baptist University on October 8 and October 10, McMurry will welcome those same two opponents to Abilene for key rematches on October 15 and October 17.

The Final Stretch and Postseason Push
The regular season concludes with a four-game road swing, starting at Schreiner on October 22 and Howard Payne on October 24. The War Hawks will then head to Round Rock to face Concordia University on October 29 for a non-conference clash. The regular season finale is set for Halloween, October 31, as McMurry travels across town for a second rivalry showdown against Hardin-Simmons.

The quest for a second straight conference title will culminate with the ASC Tournament, which kicks off on November 3.
