ABILENE, TX— After guiding the program to historic heights,
Madelyn Wilson has officially been named the head women's soccer coach at McMurry University.
Serving as the interim head coach in 2025, Wilson led the War Hawks to a 11-4-5 record and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Soccer Championship, capturing the program's first-ever conference title.

Wilson initially joined the McMurry women's soccer staff in 2024. Prior to her arrival, she spent two seasons as a graduate assistant on the conference staff of the year at Dallas Baptist University.
Before beginning her coaching career, Wilson was a standout collegiate athlete at Hardin-Simmons University. During her playing career, she was a two-time All-American, the American Southwest Conference Midfielder of the Year, a first-team All-Region selection, and a four-time All-Conference honoree.
Wilson earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from HSU in 2021. She subsequently completed her master's degree in kinesiology from DBU in 2024.
