The War Hawks improved to 20-4 overall & 13-2 in conference play, while the Bulldogs fell to 19-4 overall & 13-2 in conference play.

The Bulldogs scored the first 4 points of the game before the War Hawks would get a pair of free throws from Ashton Garner to start McMurry on a 9-0 run to take a 9-4 lead into the first media timeout at 4:55 in the first quarter. The War Hawks were able to hold the lead as they went into the second quarter with a 13-10 lead after one quarter of play.

The second quarter consisted of stingy defense from both squads. The teams were deadlocked at 17 at the second quarter media timeout at the 4:43 mark. Kylie Flippin would convert an and-1 attempt at the 3 minute mark to give McMurry their biggest lead of the contest to that point at 23-18. The War Hawks continued to hold off the Bulldogs as they led 30-25 at the break, looking to build on their second quarter momentum going into the second half.

McMurry was able to slightly extend their lead going into the first media timeout of the second half, but TLU was keeping them within striking distance. The War Hawks led at the timeout at 4:21 by a score of 39-33. McMurry looked to pull away as they took a 11-point lead at the 3 minute mark before TLU got a big 3 pointer to keep them in it. The War Hawks led by 9 after 3 quarters of play as they took a 46-37 lead into the final frame.

Emily Holland started the 4th quarter with a 3 to give McMurry a 12-point lead and the War Hawks would never look back after that.
