The Lady War Hawks had a balanced offensive attack with five players in double figures. Sophomore guard Kylie Flippin (Wichita Falls, Texas) had 16 points, followed by senior guard/forward Taya Bridges (Mesquite, Texas) and sophomore guard Helana Chadwick (La Vernia, Texas), each with 13, junior guard/forward Emily Holland (Mansfield, Texas) with 12 and sophomore forward/center Aryana Cleveland (San Antonio, Texas) with 11.

Clutch free throws helped on the scoreboard as Flippin was 7 of 8, Holland was 6 of 7, Bridges was 3 of 4, Cleveland was 1 of 1 and sophomore forward/center Tori Colman (Fort Worth, Texas) was 1 of 2. Steals also were crucial as Cleveland had four, Flippin and Bridges had three apiece, Hale and Chadwick had two each, and junior post Ashton Garner (Odessa, Texas) had one. Cleveland led in rebounding with eight, two on offense and six on defense. Bridges and Hale both blocked a shot.
The game didn't count in the American Southwest Conference standings because the opponent is reclassifying to Division 2.
McMurry, 6-1 overall and 2-0 in conference, returns to conference action Saturday with a 1 p.m. tipoff against Howard Payne University.
