RICHARDSON, Texas – Junior Erk Nithipol represented McMurry University on the 2022 American Southwest Conference Men's Golf All-Conference list, landing an honorable mention Monday.

By way of Bangkok, Thailand, Nithipol had McMurry's lowest round of the season at 68 (-4) in the second round of the Tempest Intercollegiate in Gladewater, Texas. He finished tied for third in that tournament with a score of 72-68-78=218.

Nithipol also had a pair of par rounds this season – one at the Tempest Intercollegiate and one at the Pine Dunes Invitational first round in Frankston, Texas where he finished 13th. He finished the fall season with the lowest stroke average on the team at 76.77.

This spring, he concluded the season with a T19 finish at the American Southwest Conference Championships in Granbury, Texas. He carded a 79-74-77 score over three rounds to finish +14 (230) and crack the Top 20. He had two birdies in each round this past weekend.

Nithipol is also McMurry's men's golf candidate for 2022 War Hawk of the Year, which will be presented at the Wally Awards on May 8.
