ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University Softball Head Coach David McNally announced another schedule change to this weekend's games against cross-town rival Hardin-Simmons, as the Sunday doubleheader will now take place on the campus of Abilene Christian University.
Due to unplayable field conditions at Edwards Field, the War Hawks and Cowgirls will now play tomorrow's doubleheader at ACU's Poly Wells Field – a FieldTurf playing surface.
First pitch will now take place at 2:30 p.m. The second game will follow around 4:30 p.m. Following the second game, McMurry will hold its senior day ceremony at ACU.
The game will not be streamed due to the Wally Awards show at 7 p.m. Live stats will be available.
Both McMurry (18-11, 14-10) and HSU (13-19, 9-11) have clinched a spot in the ASC Championship tournament regardless of this weekend's outcome. The War Hawks remain in position to earn a first round bye with two wins and at least one loss by Concordia Texas.
