BROWNWOOD, Texas – In an ever-changing scheduling carousel, the McMurry University Women's Basketball team picked up a new opponent for this Thursday night, as the War Hawks will travel to Howard Payne tomorrow for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.

Previously, McMurry was scheduled to host Concordia Texas tomorrow night in conference play, but the game was canceled on Tuesday due to COVID-related issues.

On Jan. 14, the War Hawks planned to face Howard Payne in conference action, but COVID-related complications also forced a cancellation in Brownwood.

Though this game was originally scheduled as an American Southwest Conference matchup, tomorrow night's game will not count toward either team's conference record. Conference games must remain inside a four-day window of rescheduling between Wednesday and Saturday of the same week to count toward the team's ASC record.

Following Thursday's game, the women's team returns home to face Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday, Jan. 23. Tip-off from Kimbrell Arena is set for 1 p.m. This game will serve as McMurry's conference home opener. Protocols for Saturday can be found here.
