ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University Softball will head across town this weekend, facing Hardin-Simmons University in a three game American Southwest Conference series.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The War Hawks took on LeTourneau in their opening series of ASC play, with the Yellow Jackets taking all three games, 15-7, 8-4, and 14-4.
AT THE PLATE: Rachel Ripley tops the War Hawk lineup with a .484 average, three home runs and nine RBIs. Kollin Morris is second with a .419 average, while Nina Hernandez and Kasey Woolard have one home run apiece. Woolard is second in RBIs with eight.
POTENT OFFEENSE: McMurry is second in the ASC with 75 runs scored (6.8 per game), second in hits (86) and third in RBIs (58).
END THE STREAK: After starting the year 5-0, the War Hawks have hit a six game slide that they will seek to end against HSU.
LAST YEAR: The War Hawks and Cowgirls played a home-and-home series last season, with the War Hawks winning both matchups.
SCOUTING HSU: The Cowgirls are 3-6 on the year after getting swept by UT Tyler last weekend. Three Cowgirls are hitting above .400, with freshman Kate Tovar leading the way with a home run and eight RBIs.
