ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University's women's tennis team notched its first win of the 2017 season by defeating Concordia University-Texas, 8-1, at the Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center. The War Hawks improved to 1-4 overall after blowing by the Tornados (1-3).

McM staked itself to a comfortable cushion in the team score by sweeping all three doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles, the tandem of Samantha Ritz and Bree Brosig won 8-6. At No. 2, the War Hawks' tandem of seniors Chloe Patterson and Gabby Camacho were victorious (8-1), while Zayra Gomez and Neah Garza took the No. 3 doubles match (8-6).
