ABILENE, TX - Fresh off a two-year stint in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), the McMurry volleyball team is officially returning to its roots.

The War Hawks has released its 2026 volleyball schedule, marking the program's return to the American Southwest Conference (ASC).

"We're really excited about the fall 2026 season and the move from the SCAC to the ASC. It's a great opportunity for us to compete at a high level, and we're looking forward to the challenge. We return a strong core and have added some great pieces, so there's a lot of momentum around this group," said head coach Caroline Cleveland. "I'm especially excited about our staff—Natalia Burdulis and Shaely Rogers have been incredible additions. They bring great energy and truly care about our student-athletes. There's a lot of excitement around our program right now, and we're eager to see what this team can accomplish and continue building for the future."

A Demanding September Start

The War Hawks will kick off the season on the road with consecutive weekend tournaments. On September 4-5, they travel to Sherman, Texas, to compete in the Austin College Tournament. The following weekend, September 11-12, McMurry heads to Houston for the St. Thomas Tournament.

McMurry's home opener is September 15 at Kimbrell Arena against Arlington Baptist. The team then travels to the ETBU Tournament in Marshall, September 18-19. The month ends with a home match against Centenary on September 22 and a short trip to Hardin-Simmons on September 25.

October Brings the ASC Return

October starts with away matches at Schreiner (October 2) and Howard Payne (October 3). McMurry then hosts Mary Hardin Baylor (October 7) and East Texas Baptist (October 9) at Kimbrell Arena.

The War Hawks hit the road again in mid-October, visiting East Texas Baptist University on October 15 and Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton on October 17. Returning home, McMurry hosts Howard Payne University on October 23 and Schreiner University on October 24. The month wraps up with an away match at Arlington Baptist University on October 27, before concluding with a major home showdown against Hardin Simmons University on October 30.

November Tri-Match and the Season Finale

The regular season ends November 7 in Irving, Texas, where the War Hawks face Dallas and Colorado College in a Tri-Match. McMurry then targets the Conference Tournament on November 13-14, hosted by the top seed.
