HOUSTON, TX – McMurry's women's golf team secured third place at the Space City Classic, hosted by St. Thomas at the par-71 Gus Wortham Golf Course.
The War Hawks ended the tournament with a 334-340-674 total over two rounds. Hardin-Simmons secured the win after carding a 319-330-649, finishing 13 shots ahead of Southwestern (662). By edging out St. Thomas by just one shot, McMurry claimed third place in the six-team competition.
Addisyn Kinnan led the War Hawks with a 78-87-165. She finished 11th in the tournament.
Leading the way,
Raelynn Leifeste shot an 82-84-166 for 12th place. Right behind her,
Katelyn Henslee carded an 82-85-167, earning a tie for 13th.
Kenlee Turner rounded out the War Hawks' top four with a 92-84-176, finishing 24th. Also representing McMurry,
Karen Santos recorded a 96-101-197 to place 32nd.
