SUWANEE, GA - Sophomore linebacker Bryce Neves, from Abilene, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for games played Thursday, September 4 and Saturday, September 6.

Neves totaled eight tackles on Saturday, including six solo and two tackles for loss, in the War Hawks' 27-19 loss to Southwestern. The sophomore linebacker also added a sack and helped the War Hawks post the lowest yards allowed in the league, with just 233 yards given up to the Pirates.
