MANY, La. – McMurry completed the first round of the Bash at the Bend at Cypress Bend Golf Resort on Monday.
 
The War Hawk men finished the day in fifth place at 29 over par.
 
Cullen Timms had three birdies (holes 12, 17 and 18) and finished at 77 (five-over) and in 6^th place to lead the McMurry men. Chase Allison, a stroke behind in 10^th, shot a 78, including a birdie on the 17^th hole.
 
Caden Cawvey and Eli Brinton had rounds of 81 with Brinton carding a birdie on the seventh hole. Tripten Roberts at 86, is in 38^th place.
 
Participating as an individual entrant, Owen Morris is 36^th at 13 over (85).
 
For the McMurry women, Karen Santos is in 13^th place at 91 to lead the squad. Raelynn Leifeste, who had a birdie on the sixth hole, is 29^th at 96. Kaitlyn Neel shot a 102 and is in 37^th place.
 
The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
