Zach Pickelman's team made six three-pointers with two each by junior guard
Matt Pena (El Paso, Texas) and Rose, and one apiece by Garcia and LeBlanc. The War Hawks did well at the free-throw line. LeBlanc was a perfect 6 of 6, and junior forward
TJ Hilliard (New Orleans, Louisiana) and Holden were both 1 of 2. Garcia was the top rebounder with eight, all on defense. McMurry had eight thefts with Hilliard contributing three, and senior guard/forward

Josh Alcocer (San Antonio, Texas), Rose, LeBlanc and Pena all adding one each. Holden blocked six shots, Garcia blocked two and LeBlanc blocked one.
The War Hawks won the first half 37-34 but were outscored 48-41 in the second. The lead changed hands five times and the score was tied six times.
McMurry, 8-9 overall and 2-7 in the American Southwest Conference, plays at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Howard Payne University in Brownwood. Its next, and last, home game is Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. against Hardin Simmons University.
