McMurry Falls in Shootout Despite Electrifying Night from Beyond the Arc

ABILENE, TX - The McMurry War Hawks men's basketball team put on a dazzling display of perimeter shooting and fought until the final buzzer in a high-octane battle against Concordia (TX), ultimately falling 102-91 at Kimbrell Arena.

In a game characterized by relentless offensive output, the War Hawks showed incredible heart and determination, lighting up the scoreboard with a staggering 22 made three-pointers, setting a McMurry team record for threes made in a game, besting the previous record of 16. McMurry seized the momentum early, storming out of the gates to build a 10-point advantage in the opening minutes. However, the visiting Tornados responded with a surge of their own, turning the contest into a back-and-forth affair that tested the resolve of both squads.

Despite Concordia pulling away in the later stages, leading by as many as 18, McMurry refused to concede. The team continued to battle on both ends of the floor, cutting into the deficit and keeping the energy high inside Kimbrell Arena. The War Hawks' offensive execution from beyond the arc was the story of the night, as they shot an impressive 44.9% from deep, keeping them within striking distance and electrifying the crowd with their range.
