Box Score McMurry University rallied from a 13-point deficit to win its second game of the season, 75-73 over Texas Lutheran University Saturday, Nov. 11 in Kimbrell Arena.
The opponent had the War Hawks on the ropes with the large lead early in the second half.
Senior guard
CJ LeBlanc (Dallas, Texas) led the team with 17 points with freshman guard
Deshawn Crawford (Desoto, Texas) contributing 16 points and junior forward
TJ Hilliard (New Orleans, Louisiana) adding 14 points. Freshman forward
Tristan Holden (San Antonio, Texas) had nine defensive rebounds, while senior forward/center
Elias Garcia (Houston, Texas) had three offensive and three defensive rebounds.
Sophomore guard
Coco Rose (Odessa, Texas) and LeBlanc had four assists each. Rose also had six steals, and the War Hawks blocked five shots – Holden with three, and junior center
Andrew Stevenson (Killeen, Texas) and Garcia with one apiece. LeBlanc was 3 of 3 from the free-throw line while Stevenson was 2 of 2.
McMurry, 2-0, plays its next game Nov. 18 in Kimbrell Arena at 7:30 p.m. against Austin College.
