FIVE-SET THRILLER HIGHLIGHTS HOME WEEKEND

ABILENE, TEX. – A .182 team attack percentage, lifted by three sets of .250 or higher, proved the difference for McMurry University Saturday, Sept. 17.

The War Hawks, improving to 6-4, blasted 20 more kills than their visitors from Schreiner University. Sophomore outside hitter Keetyn Davis (Abilene, Tex.) had an afternoon she won't soon forget with 16 kills, three service aces and 21 digs. Junior Addyson Tiffin (Bushland, Tex.) hammered 15 kills for her second double-digit effort in five outings this season to go with a team-best five blocks. Davis' total marked the fourth time she's been at-or-above 10 successful offensive attacks.

Freshman setter Lexi Miller (Abilene, Tex.) had a strong outing on her home court, too. She wound up with 33 assists and 19 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Bri Garcia (Abilene, Tex.) stepped from the back row, joining Davis with three service aces.

Head coach Cammie Petree's team dropped a four-set tussle with crosstown American Southwest Conference foe Hardin-Simmons Friday, Sept. 16. The Cowgirls used a high-flying .276 attack percentage to help held off their hosts down the stretch, especially in sets three and four which they won 25-22 and 26-24.

A run of six successive home matches winds down Tuesday, Sept. 20. Concordia University of Austin visits for a 6 p.m. conference battle.
