RICHARDSON, Texas – The American Southwest Conference announced its men's basketball all-conference teams on Wednesday, as McMurry University had three players collect honors.

Sophomore forward Michael Imariagbe headlined the trio by making both the all-conference second team and the all-conference defensive team. The Houston product averaged 15.0 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game, while leading the team with 27 blocks. He also finishes the year with eight double-doubles.

Imariagbe now has six all-conference awards in just two seasons – two defensive team nominations, one freshman team selection, one second team selection, one honorable mention and the 2021 ASC West Co-Freshman of the Year award.

Veteran guard Remy Minor landed third team all-conference for his second ASC honor. Minor averaged 13.8 PPG as the starting point guard, while adding a team-high 82 assists. The Chicago native also led the team in minutes with 33.0 per game, serving as the team's vocal leader and facilitator.

On Jan. 27 in an overtime win at Concordia Texas, Minor scored a career-high 38 points and broke both the school and the American Southwest Conference record for made free throws in a single game. He finished 26-28 at the line and added seven rebounds and seven assists that night.

After winning ASC Freshman of the Year in 2020 then taking a year off in 2021 due to COVID-19, sophomore guard CJ LeBlanc returned to McMurry in 2022 and hit the ground running. For his efforts, he was voted an honorable mention.

LeBlanc ranked among the league's top scorers and led the War Hawks with 16.4 PPG. He also led the team in three-point shooting, making 63-201 for a 31.3 percentage. He also ranked first on the team with 41 steals, while ranking second in assists with 77 and minutes with 32.7 per game.

In his first game back with the squad, LeBlanc dropped 28 points in a close win at Schreiner. He had double-digit scoring totals in 20 of his 24 games – including the last eight games of the season.

All three players started all 24 games.

The War Hawks finished the 2021-22 season with a 9-15 overall record and a 7-11 record in the conference, making an appearance in the ASC Quarterfinals. Additionally, McMurry sported a 6-6 record on the road.
