ABILENE, Texas – For the second time this season, the McMurry University men's tennis team took a loss from an NCAA Division II foe, this time losing by a 9-0 score versus Midwestern State University at the Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center. The War Hawks fell to 1-4 on the year, while the Mustangs upped their record to 4-2.
McM found itself down 3-0 in the team score after MSU swept doubles. The Mustangs lost just four games between the matches.
In singles, the War Hawks were swept in straight sets in the six contests. Only sophomore
Carlos Martinez managed to win more than one game in any of his sets, falling to Vasudev Vijayaraman, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1 singles.
