ORLANDO, Fla. – McMurry University men's tennis wrapped up its spring trip to the Orlando area with a 7-2 loss to a strong Berry College team at the USTA National Campus. The War Hawks fell to 3-9, while the Vikings improved to 5-2 on the year.
In doubles, McM's only win came at the No. 3 position.
Logan Daniell and Thierry Tchenko won their third-straight match – a 3-1 record as partners – with an 8-5 win over BC's Jordan Crance and Daniel Alligood.
The War Hawks lone singles victory came at the No. 1 slot, where
Carlos Martinez dispatched of the Vikings' Matthew Blakely in straight sets of 6-2, 6-0. For Martinez, it was his fourth-straight single victory. He improved his personal record to a team-best mark of 7-3.
Berry swept the Nos. 2-6 singles matches in straight sets.
