ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University's volleyball team snapped its modest two-match losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Dallas Christian College on "Senior Day" at Kimbrell Arena. The War Hawks (13-9) defeated the Crusaders (10-17) by set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-12, 26-24.

Cammie Petree also had the opportunity to play all 14 of her available players in the contest.
Senior returning all-American
Catherine Heath led the offensive attack with 14 kills and a .300 attack average. Also chipping in the McM's balanced attack was junior
Katy Headrick with eight kills and senior
Jessica Cory's seven kills.

Bethany Holub and freshman
Jasmine Jones each added six kills.
McMurry's defensive front was stellar with 10 team blocks. Senior middle blocker
Audrey Sanders led the "wall" by having a hand in seven of the blocks. Jones was in on four blocks, as well.
Freshman libero
Odalis Rodriguez had a team-leading 12 digs. Cory and Holub each made 10 digs.
Senior setter
Morgan Thomas had 25 of her team's 49 assists as a unit.
Jessica Tennis booked 13 "helps." Thomas also had two service aces, as did teammate Headrick.
The War Hawks will play their third-consecutive home match next Wednesday (Oct. 28/7 p.m.), when they host Concordia University-Texas.
