A graduate of Cooper High School (2013) in Lubbock … As a sophomore, was second team all-city, first team all-district and the “Offensive Player of the Year” … As a senior, was the district 2-3A MVP, first team all-city and a TGCA all-state selection … A two-sport athlete for the Pirates, also running track … With 4x200 relay, was a three-time regional qualifier … A two-time regional qualifier with the 4x400 relay quartet … Played club for the Lubbock Shockers, under April Sevryn.
