RESULTS

JOPLIN, Mo. – The McMurry men's cross country team placed eighth out of 20 teams in the college division of the Missouri Southern Stampede Cross Country Invitational.

Despite the top-10 finish, McM head coach David Chandler believes his team could have done even better.

"The men started out too fast," Chandler explained.  "It was a tough race. We need to run our race better. They just got excited. We'll do better next time."

Senior Michael Dowd had his team's best time for the second-consecutive race, posting a 26:58.83 minutes for the 8K course. Dowd was 18th out of the field of 167 runners.
