ABILENE – McMurry's cross country teams head to the NCAA West Regionals in Estacada, Oregon, on Saturday.
 
The women's race is at 8 a.m., Central, followed by the men at 9 at Milo McIver State Park. Estacada is about 30 miles southeast of Portland. Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s at race time.
 
The McMurry women are coming off of a third-place finish at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
 
Chloe McLellan was 15^th at 23:33.03 with Savanna Danner just off that pace in 16^th at 13:41.35. Katelyn Hernandez placed 34^th at 24:54.97 and Ashley Shea was 35^th at 24:59.48. Anna Dinaso rounded out the scoring in 54^th at 26:02.91 on the six-kilometer course.
 
Jocelyn Moreno was 57^th at 26:14.70 and Abigail Huffhines placed 63^rd at 26:43.12. Also for McMurry, Madison Soultanova finished in 28:15.94.
 
The field for the women includes second-ranked Colorado College, which was perfect at the SCAC Championships, as well as No. 9 Claremont Mudd Scripps and No. 23 Pomona Pitzer.
 
The McMurry men were fifth at the SCAC Championships. Isaac Gonzales led the War Hawks in 28^th at 27:09.1 with Gabriel Sanchez in 30^th at 27:11.8. Roman Perez was 38^th at 27:28.5 and Patrick Esparza was close behind at 27:32.6 in 40^th. Rounding out the scoring five was Rogelio Ramirez in 50^th at 28:00.2
 
Antonio Martinez was 57^th at 28:38 and Jeremiah Rodriguez was 71^st at 29:19.8. Also for McMurry, Kevin Gomez finished in 30:05.8, Eddie Garcia in 30:43.3 and Victor Leos in 30:47.6.
 
The men's field includes No. 3 Pomona Pitzer, No. 10 George Fox and No. 24 Claremont Mudd Scripps.
