The McM women found the going tough against the nation's No. 40-ranked Midwestern squad, 9-0. The War Hawks lost all three doubles matches and were swept in straight sets in singles play. McM players did not win more than three games in any of the sets.
The McMurry women are now 4-9 on the year.
In the men's competition, McMurry suffered a similar fate. Midwestern State, ranked No. 31 in the nation, won two-of-three doubles play and all six singles matches without dropping a set.
The War Hawks' lone win of the day was at No. 3 singles, where
Preston Steblein and Christiano Mendes defeated MSU's Tomas Grejtak and Zack Santagate, 9-7.
In the singles play, McM's
Chris Breaux at No. 1 and
Dani Perez at No. 3 each lost 7-5 results in their firt sets before also dropping their second sets.
The War Hawk men fell to 7-3 overall.
