ABILENE, Texas – McMurry's men's tennis team was defeated by the University of Texas-Dallas on Sunday afternoon at the Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center, 7-2.

The loss allowed the War Hawks to slip below the .500 level on the year, falling to 3-4 overall.

At No. 2 singles, Preston Steblein picked up one of the two team points, topping Dustin Fowler by a score of 6-4, 6-4.

The Comets won the balance of the singles matches in straight sets, as well as two of the doubles bouts.

At No. 1 doubles, McMurry's Chris Breaux and Steblein teamed up to earn an 8-2 win over UTD's Matt Davis and Bryan Leib.
