Biography

Returns after a year off from injury to return to linebacker.

2009 Season (Medical Redshirt):

Sat out the 2009 season due to injury.

2008 Season (Junior):

Responded in his first season with significant playing time by recording 39 tackles (17 solo) and had 5.5 tackles for a loss on the season. Also credited with two quarterback hurries and a pass break up. Recorded career-highs with seven tackles twice against East Texas Baptist Oct. 4 and Texas Lutheran Oct. 25. In the game against TLU, he had a season-high 1.5 TFL for the game.

2007 Season (Sophomore):

Played both varsity and junior varsity for McMurry as a sophomore. Recorded two tackles on the varsity.

2006 Season (Freshman):

Played in McMurry’s junior varsity program in 2006.

High School:

Played three seasons at defensive end for head coach Mike Malkowski at C.E. King High School in Houston. Sat out most of his senior season with a quad injury. Was the district’s preseason Defensive Player of the Year and followed up by recording 78 tackles as a junior, had nine pass deflections, nine quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and two recoveries on his way to a first team all-district selection. Also named to the Houston Chronicle’s all-Greater Houston team as a junior.
