Played two seasons for head coach Alan McDougal at Colleyville Heritage High School in Grapevine at first base. Hit .296 with two homeruns and 11 RBI’s as a junior while helping his team to a 25-7 record. Helped his team to a 27-5 record as a senior by hitting .354 with four homeruns and 28 RBI’s. Named all-district first baseman as a junior and senior. Part of a team who was achieved the number one in the nation honors for two weeks and was a national top 10 team for 10 weeks.
