McMurry University Athletics

Enters his last season with 16 receptions for 144 yards and six touchdowns from the tight end position. Has caught touchdown passes in each of the three season openers he’s participated in. His first five receptions at McMurry were all for touchdowns.

2008 Season:

Recorded a career-high nine receptions for 62 yards and caught a touchdown pass in his third year with the program. Caught his only touchdown pass in the season opener in a loss to Trinity in San Antonio Sept. 6. Had a season high 25 yards on two receptions against Mississippi College Sept. 20.

2007 Season:

Did not play

2006 Season (Sophomore):

Caught three passes for 46 yards and a touchdown his sophomore campaign. In the team’s home opener Sept. 9 against Austin College he caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Stephen Johnson marking the fifth consecutive reception for a touchdown for Waller.

2005 Season (Freshman):

Proved to be a goalline threat as he compiled four receptions for 36 yards - all for touchdowns in his freshman season.

High School:

Lettered twice and was named all-district both times as an offensive lineman for head coach Marvin Sedberry at Bryan High School. Also lettered twice in baseball.  

Personal:

2005 graduate of Bryan High School. Grandfather, Taylor Wilkins, played four years of football and ran track at Texas A&M University. Brother, J.P., played football four seasons at the Air Force Academy from 2001-2005. Brother, Cody, played two seasons of baseball at the University of Houston. Majoring in Business Management with aspirations to work in exotic animal game trade. Born 05 June 1987.
