2008 (Freshman):

Appeared in seven games under center. Completed 47 passes out of 112 attempts and tossed three touchdowns while throwing eight interceptions.  Penn’s best game came against Mississippi College Sept. 20 when he threw for a season-high 256 yards on 20 of 41 passing; he threw a touchdown and two interceptions in the loss. Tossed a career-high two touchdown passes in the season-opening loss to Trinity Sept. 6. Carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards (a season-high) against Austin College Sept. 13.

2007 Season (Freshman):

Played on McMurry's JV Team.

High School:

Played three seasons of linebacker and quarterback for head coach Brian Polk at Van Alstyne High School in Van Alstyne. Passed for 1,630 yards as a senior and had 17 touchdown tosses. He also rushed for 275 yards and two scores on the year. He was named second-team all-area and was an all-district honorable mention selection. As a sophomore, he was named second-team all-district at linebacker after recording 47 tackles and an interception. Was an academic all-state selection.

2007 graduate of Van Alstyne High School. Majoring in Business Management with aspirations to go to law school. Born 22 June 1989.
