ABILENE, TX – Fresh off a dominant 2025 SCAC Championship campaign, McMurry University Football is ready to give fans a first look at the future. The War Hawks will host the 5th Annual War Hawk Day this Saturday, March 28, marking the official conclusion of the team's spring practice season.

The gates open for a high-energy afternoon of football, community, and recruitment as the program bridges the gap between a historic past and a promising 2026 season.

Fans in attendance can shop for exclusive McMurry Football gear and apparel available only at the stadium. Full concessions will also be open throughout the event.
 
A Look at the Roster
While the program said goodbye to 17 seniors from the championship-winning squad, the cupboard is far from bare. The 2026 War Hawks boast a veteran core including 18 seniors, 41 juniors, and 44 sophomores. The event will also serve as a "welcome home" for the incoming 2026 signing class and a premier scouting opportunity for elite Class of 2027 prospects.

"Our TEAM has made great progress, and we are eager to display all the great improvements we have made to our fans, incoming players and parents," said Head Coach Jordan Neal. "It has been an eventful spring semester. Our players have worked extremely hard in off-season workouts, and our coaches have recruited well to put together a great 2026 signing class."
