ABILENE, TX - The McMurry men's soccer team fell to Houston-Victoria 1-0 in a hard-fought match at Wilford Moore Stadium on Sunday. The lone goal of the game came from a penalty kick against the War Hawks in the 68th minute.

The War Hawks' defense, led by goalkeeper Joaquin Sanchez with two saves, held the Jaguars to just seven shots, with only three on target.

Offensively, McMurry was led by Jordan Katende with three shots and one on goal. Moise Munezero, Nkoni Ngassa, Bennett Schrom, and Justyn Judie each added a shot on goal.

The War Hawks return to Wilford Moore Stadium this Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 p.m. to host East Texas Baptist University, who are 2-2 on the young season.
