Seguin, TX - The McMurry War Hawks faced off against Texas Lutheran on April 11, 2025, at Katt-Isbel Field. The final score was 7-4 in favor of Texas Lutheran.   

Texas Lutheran scored the first runs of the game in the bottom of the second inning, taking an early 2-0 lead. They added another run in the third inning, increasing their lead to 3-0. The Bulldogs continued to extend their lead in the fourth, scoring two more runs to make it 5-0.   

McMurry got on the board in the top of the 5th inning. Koy Carpenter hit a sacrifice fly to score Blake Beach. Riley Hood followed up with a single to score Xavier Escobar, narrowing the deficit to 5-2.   

Texas Lutheran responded in the bottom of the 6th with a 2-run homer, pushing their lead to 7-2. McMurry rallied in the top of the 8th to close the gap, with Michael Smosna hitting a double to score Collin Bruning. Josh Mueller singled to bring in Smosna, making the score 7-4. However, McMurry was unable to close the gap further.
