ABILENE, TX - The McMurry men's soccer team fell to Austin College 1-0 in a hard-fought conference match at Wilford Moore Stadium on Friday night. The War Hawks put forth a spirited effort, particularly in the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net.

The lone goal of the contest came from the Kangaroos in the 31st minute, despite a strong defensive showing from the War Hawks.

McMurry's offense dominated the second half, out-shooting Austin College 6-2 in the period. The War Hawks finished the night with seven total shots, forcing two saves from the Austin goalkeeper. Abel Gonzalez, Angel Lugo, Moise Munezero, and Tarik Kesetovic were among the players who recorded shots for McMurry.

The War Hawks will look to bounce back and earn their first conference win in their next matchup against LeTourneau University on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Longview.
