ABILENE – McMurry Men's Soccer gets back to action this week with games Thursday at Howard Payne and Saturday at Mary Hardin-Baylor. Both matches begin at 7:30 p.m.

Cardiac Kids: Both McMurry wins this season have been 1-0 contests with the War Hawks scoring late. They scored in the last three seconds to beat Lyon and knocked off U Dallas with 38 seconds to go.
 
Already Better: The War Hawks' second win of the season on Sunday matched the 2023 total when McMurry went 2-9-5.
 
Two Goals, Two Wins: The War Hawks have made the most of their two goals this season, getting game-winners from Jovani Burnett and Nick Munoz. Dylan Christian and Landyn Snider have the assists.
 
In Goal: The War Hawks have shutouts this season by Brandon Walker and Jonathan Garcia. Garcia leads with a 0.78 goals-allowed average this year.
 
History with HPU: McMurry broke a four-game slide in the Howard Payne series last season with a scoreless tie.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: Howard Payne dropped to 0-2-2 after a 3-0 loss at St. Thomas on Sunday. The Jackets have two goals in the four games – one each by Ian Bryant and Anthony Herrera. Primary goalkeeper Juan Ugalde has a 1.92 GAA.
 
Scouting the Crusaders: Mary Hardin-Baylor dipped to 1-2-1 with its 3-1 loss at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. The Cru hosts Austin College on Thursday. Carter Simpson, Alex Bethke, Drew Cooley and Evan Ruiz have one goal each of UMHB. Hayden Owens has spent every minute in goal for the Cru and has a 1.50 GAA with 19 saves in four starts.
