ABILENE – McMurry had a pair of weekly award winners with Caitlyn Sauer-Newell earning Women's Swimmer of the Week and Elijah Trevino taking Men's Diver of the Week, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday.
 
Sauer-Newell, a junior from Anthem, Ariz., was the only double event winner for the War Hawks in the team's double dual meet with Austin College and UT-Permian Basin this past weekend. Sauer-Newell won both the 100 back (1:05.09) and 500 free (5:49.05) on Saturday. 
 
Sauer-Newell is the second award winner for the McMurry women this season. Maddy Rohrer won in Week 3.
 
Trevino, a freshman from Andrews, took top honors at the Austin College/UT-Permian Basin double dual meet this past weekend, finishing first on the men's one-meter board with a score of 165.5. He also won the award in Week 3.
