GEORGETOWN – McMurry volleyball came up short in a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches on Saturday against Trinity and Southwestern.

Trinity won in three sets, 25-17, 25-13, 25-12.

Jacee Dinkins had seven kills and
Carli Colbert contributed 10 assists.
Chloe Ukle had 11 digs.

Southwestern won in five sets, 20-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Down, 11-10, McMurry got a pair of blocks
Addyson Tiffin and
Jennika Willis during a 5-0 run for a 15-11 lead. Tiffin would get the game-ending kill later.

In the third set, McMurry trailed 19-15 but rattled off an 8-0 run, including two kills and a block by
Carli Colbert.
Bailey Blanton would get the game-ending kill.

Southwestern got out to a 5-1 lead in the fifth set and never trailed again.

Dinkins had 14 kills while
Alexis Dolton had 17 assists and Colbert 15.

Tiffin was in on six blocks while Colbert and Willis got four each.
Hannah Page remained a force on the back row with 32 digs, followed by Dolton and Dinkins with 11 each.

The War Hawks end the regular season at 14-14 overall and 7-8 in SCAC play. McMurry will play in the SCAC Tournament Nov. 15-16 in Sherman.
