BROWNWOOD – McMurry rallied from two sets down to defeat Howard Payne, 3-2, for the final non-conference match of the season.

The War Hawks won 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-5.

Carli Colbert had her third triple-double of the season, getting a dozen kills, 33 assists and 16 digs.

After dropping the first two sets, McMurry found itself down 10-9 in the third set before getting back up with a 7-1 run to take the lead for good. Colbert had an ace and a kill in the decisive run.
Addyson Tiffin finished things off with a kill.

The War Hawks blew open an 18-17 game in the fourth set, using a 5-0 run, sparked by a pair of blocks by
Rylie Patterson.
Jennika Willis got the kill to force the fifth set.

McMurry dominated the fifth set, scoring the first nine points. Patterson had two kills and a block in that spree. Colbert punctuated the victory with a kill.

Jacee Dinkins led McMurry with 13 kills, followed by Colbert with 12 and Willis with 11. Colbert led with 33 assists, followed by
Alexis Dolton with 15.

Hannah Page was huge on the back row with 32 digs while Dinkins and Colbert added 16 each and
Chloe Ukle contributed 10. Tiffin and Patterson were in on three blocks each.

Colbert also had three aces.

McMurry wraps up the regular season with two matches on Saturday in Georgetown against Trinity at 11 a.m. and Southwestern at 2 p.m.
