NEW RECORD: Kristopher Martin broke the school receiving yards record last week, passing Jeret Smith with 2,750 yards. Martin also passed Smith for second on the career receptions list with 183 catches. The receptions record of 202 is held by Greg Livingston.

HOEL MOVES UP: With his 246 passing yards against Austin College, McMurry's
Jess Hoel moved up to third on the all-time passing yards list with 4,466. Jake Mullin holds the record with 12,457.

BROWN HONORED: Bruce, a freshman punter from Santa Anna, averaged 49.0 yards on his two punts, placing both inside the five yard line, in Saturday's 31-3 victory over Austin College. His performance earned him SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. He is the second War Hawk to get that award.
Jax Rodriguez also received it in Week 3.

MITCHELL WINS: Zach Mitchell, a freshman linebacker from Fort Worth had nine tackles, including two tackles for loss, as the War Hawks held the league's second-ranked offense to 249 yards of total offense and kept the 'Roos out of the endzone in Saturday's victory. That outing earned him SCAC Defensive Player of the Week. McMurry now had four such awards this season.
Timothy Leatherman won the award in Week 2 and
Kane Strohman captured it in Weeks 4 and 6.

Kane Strohman had his second consecutive 10-tackle outing, including 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss. The War Hawks logged five sacks.

SCOUTING LYON: The Scots are 1-7 overall and 0-7 in the SCAC after a 45-10 loss at Texas Lutheran on Saturday. Jaylin Babers has 633 rushing yards to lead Lyon.
