KERRVILLE – Anthony Licea scored on a penalty kick in the 56^th minute but it was not enough as McMurry dropped a 2-1 decision at Schreiner on Sunday.
 
Licea scored with 34:30 remaining but the Mountaineers had already scored twice.
 
The War Hawks had seven shots for the game, including three by Nick Munoz and two by Licea. That pair accounted for all five McMurry shots on goal.
 
Brandon Walker came up with eight saves for McM.
 
McMurry returns to the home pitch on Friday, taking on St. Thomas at 5 p.m.
