League Games: The War Hawks can make a statement with a win or tie on Friday against front-running Trinity. The Tigers are 1-0 in the league and 6-0-2 overall. While it is too early to call any game a must-win, McMurry could get things going in the right direction with a win this week.

Brandon Walker is second in the league, averaging 4.80 saves per game. As team, the War Hawks are second with 5.88 saves per game.

Goals: Nick Munoz leads McMurry with two goals this season while
Jovani Burnett,
Herbie Martinez and
Julian Trevino have on each. Munoz and Burnett have the game-winners this year for the War Hawks.

Assists: Landyn Snider has a team-leading two assists this season.

Shots: Pedro Yanez leads the team with seven shots attempted this season.

About Trinity: After starting the season with two ties, Trinity has rolled off six consecutive wins. The Tigers have outscored opponents 28-1 in those six wins. Adam Knutson and Hunter Cain have seven goals each and Jason Sukow has five assists. Trinity is seventh nationally with 3.75 goals per game. Primary keeper Omkar Satpathy allows 0.53 goals per game and has been involved in four shutouts. This will be the first meeting since 2006. Trinity leads the series 4-0.

About Schreiner: McMurry is 6-10-1 all-time against Schreiner, including a 4-3 loss in Abilene last season. The Mountaineers are 1-6 overall and 0-1 in the SCAC after opening the season 1-1. SU visits Concordia on Friday before coming to Abilene. Zaaron Gonzalez leads the team with three goals and two assists.
