A combined group of four men's and women's scholar-athletes added to the impressive cadre of accolades for McMurry University's 2023 track and field teams Thursday, July 13.
 
Junior Najwa Campbell (Conroe, Texas), senior Jayden Gonzales (Roscoe, Texas), junior Rylan Rogers (Baird, Texas), and senior Sutton Welch (Abilene, Texas) were recognized as United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Athletes.
 
The criteria to be named a USTFCCCA Division III All-Academic Athlete is based on academic and competitive prowess. It includes a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period and finishing among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on the Track and Field Results Reporting System or competing as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS.
